This is my favorite worship song Written and sung by John Mark McMillan. I will make references throughout my entire blog from this song. I love it dearly. Wonderful man and wonderful story behind why he wrote the song. A lot of people didn’t like this song because of the use of the words “sloppy wet kiss”. It has gotten so much criticism even worship bands like the David Crowder Band and Hillsong United changed the lyrics. I love his raw representation of God’s love for us and these lyrics add to his unfailing love and affection for us. Don’t be ashamed to tell people of God’s raw love and say it proudly. Our God is a raw God, this is not sexual nor insulting. This is our God uncensored.
